General Job Summary:
The Senior Commercial Underwriter is a senior-level; responsible for evaluating, analyzing, and underwriting complex commercial credit requests to support New Horizon Bank’s loan growth and asset-quality goals. This position plays a pivotal role in balancing risk mitigation with opportunity by applying sound judgment, advanced financial analysis, and creative structuring to commercial loan decisions. The Underwriter III partners closely with loan officers, relationship managers, and internal teams to gather key information, assess borrower risk, and communicate clear, well-supported recommendations.
This position is ideal for a seasoned, action-oriented commercial credit professional who thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment and brings a strategic mindset to structuring deals, managing risk, and delivering exceptional service to internal and external stakeholders.
